Importance of Dustless Sanding

Nobody wants their house covered in dust. That’s why we invested in dustless sander equipment. Regular sanding creates a fine dust that gets literally everywhere – in your vents, on your dishes, under your doors. It’s annoying as hell to clean up.

Our dustless sander systems connect to industrial vacuums that catch 85% of dust as we work. We can sand your trim, walls, and doors without you having to deep clean your entire house afterwards. Seriously, this technology is a game changer.

For clients with allergies or little kids, this matters even more. Traditional sanding kicks up all kinds of particles that hang in the air for days. With our setup, you can stay in your house while we work without breathing in dust clouds.

The dustless sander also lets us do better prep work. We can see what we’re doing instead of working through a haze. Better visibility means better results. Plus, your HVAC system thanks you – no dust getting sucked into all your vents and filters.

  • Dustless sanding stops dust from spreading through your whole house.
  • Our system captures about 99% of dust while sanding.
  • Safer for families with kids or allergies, no dust clouds in the air.
  • Cleaner prep = better results and no heavy cleanup for you.
  • Protects your vents, filters, and HVAC from clogging with dust.

Why Hire Paint Lions for drywall repairs?

You could hire just a drywall taper. They’ll patch your holes and sand them smooth. Then you’re stuck finding a painter to come finish the job. Now you’re dealing with two different companies, two different schedules, waiting for one to finish before the other can start.

We do both. We patch, sand, prime, and paint. One company, one schedule, one price. Way easier.

Plus tapers don’t always care about the final look. They make it flat and smooth, which is their job. But if they leave texture marks or rough edges, that’s your problem when the painter shows up. We care about the whole thing looking perfect because we’re doing the painting too.

We’ve been fixing drywall in the GTA since 2023. We show up when we say we will. We clean up our mess. We don’t leave you hanging. And if something goes wrong with our work, we come back and fix it free. That’s how it should be.

  • Stop Small Problems: Fix cracks before they get worse
  • Better Home Value: Good walls mean higher selling price
  • Pretty Cheap: Most repairs cost way less than you think
  • Looks Brand New: We make holes disappear completely

Questions People Ask About Drywall Repairs

Small holes like nail holes are cheap – maybe $50-$100 to fix a bunch of them. Medium holes (think doorknob-sized) run $150-$300 each. Big repairs where we’re replacing whole sections cost more, usually $300-$800 depending on size. Water damage repairs vary a lot depending on how much drywall needs replacing.

Small nail holes? Sure, anyone can fill those. Bigger stuff? It’s harder than YouTube makes it look. The mud shrinks weird, your patch doesn’t blend in, or you sand too much and make it worse. We’ve fixed a lot of DIY attempts that ended up costing more than if they’d called us first. But if you want to try, go for it.

Not if we do it right. That’s the whole point. A good repair is invisible. You shouldn’t be able to feel the edge of the patch or see where it is. We sand it smooth and paint the whole wall so everything matches. If you can see our work after we’re done, we messed up.

The last coat of mud needs to dry completely before painting. Usually overnight is enough. But humidity slows things down – in summer it might need longer. We prime first, let that dry, then paint. Don’t rush it or the paint will bubble and look gross. We handle all this for you so you don’t have to worry about timing.

Houses move and settle. That’s normal. Cracks come back when the house is still settling or if the repair wasn’t done right. We use mesh tape and flexible compound on cracks so they can move a tiny bit without breaking. If a crack keeps coming back in the same spot, there might be a bigger problem like foundation issues. We’ll tell you if we think that’s happening.

Yep. Ceilings are actually harder than walls because gravity works against you. The mud wants to sag before it dries. We’re used to it though. Water stains on ceilings, cracks, holes from old light fixtures – we fix all that. Ceiling repairs usually cost a bit more than walls just because they’re more annoying to work on.

No problem. We cut out the damaged area, put in a new piece of drywall, and patch it properly. We’ve fixed holes from people putting their foot through the ceiling, holes from plumbing work, huge holes from removing old stuff – size doesn’t matter. Bigger holes just take longer to fix because there’s more sanding and more coats of mud needed.

Sanding makes dust, yeah. We use vacuum sanders that catch most of it. We also seal off the work area with plastic so dust doesn’t spread through your whole house. Still, you’ll probably find some dust around. That’s just how it is. We vacuum and wipe everything down when we’re done but some dust is impossible to avoid completely.

Yep. We fix drywall in Toronto, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Newmarket, Aurora, Scarborough, Etobicoke, North York – basically anywhere in the GTA. We drive around all day anyway so distance isn’t a big deal. Call us and we’ll come check out your walls.
